Work Permits

Work permits can be applied for from a home computer with internet connection.

1.  Access the system via the following website: http://www.dol.state.ga.us/

2.  Select the Child Labor Quick Link

3.  Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Online Work Permit

4.  Select Minor

5.  Enter personal information, verify accuracy and click submit

6.  Print a copy of the Work Permit Data Sheet to give to your employer

 

Employers may complete their portion on-line at the same website.  If the employer does not have Internet access or does not use the online process, then he/she must complete the Data Sheet manually and return it to the minor.  The minor will then submit the Data Sheet to Kell High School Guidance for completion of the work permit process.  Once it is dropped off at Kell, it should be ready for pick up 24 hours later.  If a student does not have internet access, he/she can pick up a paper application from the Kell Guidance Office.
