One final thought, this is your PRELIMINARY status for the Hope Scholarship. Things can change between now and the end of school.  Students who do not currently qualify may do well and pull their GPA up to the required minimum.  Students who currently qualify but are near the lower limit could let their GPA slip if they had a bad term.  Remember the most important Hope Scholarship list is the final list, which will be available from the state in July.  Only those students on that list will enjoy the benefit of receiving a Hope Scholarship.

FINAL HOPE SCHOLARSHIP STATUS
After spring term grades are posted the final HOPE list for graduating seniors is due to the state agency in mid/late June.  In July, students who qualify should receive official notification from the state.  At that time you will be able to view your HOPE status at   http://www.gacollege411.org/

The Kell Guidance Office recommends that students complete both the GSFAPPS and FAFSA in preparation for the first year in college.
Completing the FAFSA is also an application for the HOPE Scholarship.  Links to the official FAFSA website are located in the Financial Aid tab as well.  Requirements for scholarship applications may vary; it is wise to contact the Financial Aid Office of the college or university where the student is applying for information about their procedures.
